Meet Laura

Laura Jarvis is a LMSW who received both her Bachelor’s of Social Work and Master’s of Social Work from Central Connecticut State University with a specialization in Trauma Informed Care. Laura also has an Integrative Life Coaching Certificate from JFK University in CA as well as a certificate in Youth Yoga and Mindfulness from Radiant Child Yoga.

Laura has a holistic, “out of the box” approach to working with clients. She draws on her depth of life experience providing clients a sense of feeling safe, seen, understood all the while focusing on healing and growth. Laura takes a very individualized, strengths based approach.. She empowers, celebrates and inspires in guiding and facilitating change.

Laura utilizes a blend of modern and traditional evidence based and creative therapeutic modalities such as Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Based Therapy, Dialectical Based Therapy, Eco-Therapy, Bibliotherapy, Mindfulness, Intentionality, Somatic Movement and so much more! Her clients find her kind, empathetic, honest, practical, relational, inspiring and love the safe, soothing space she provides. Laura works with teens, adults, couples and families at Hopewell.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys playing with her dogs, gardening, cooking, going to farmer’s markets, reading and spending quality time with her family.
