Meet Adam

Adam in Three Words: Intuitive, Compassionate, and Goal- Oriented

Adam is a Licensed Master Social Worker with experience working as a family therapist for children, youth, adolescents, and young adults for over 8 years. Adam worked as a mental health counselor in a family therapy program for 4 years while holding a bachelor’s degree and studying to complete a master’s program. Adam has also led IOP/PHP SUD groups for and discovered a new passion working with the SUD population.

Adam obtained his bachelor’s degree in social work from Central Connecticut State University and his master’s degree in social work from Springfield College. Adam specializes in individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. Adam has experience working with all age groups, races, and genders.

His therapeutic approach is CBT specific. Trained to assist clients in identifying how events lead to thoughts, which create feelings, and effect behavior, Adam can use psycho education, therapeutic games, motivational interviewing, and active listening to help all clients achieve their goals! Using a client-centered approach, Adam can assist clients in co-constructing their treatment plans and in taking accountability.

Outside of work Adam takes pride in parenting two daughters aged 13 and 3. Adam enjoys day trips and vacations with his daughters. Maintaining fitness and training for marathons are hobbies that occupy most of Adam’s time and provide balance to life. Adam played high school and college football and has an interest in improving the mental health of athletes.

Adam specializes in individual therapy with adolescents, children, and adults. His experience with co-occurring disorders, substance abuse disorders, neuro divergent disorders, ADHD, and anxiety disorders can help clients work towards building a better future.
