“Helper of mankind” ~ Hebrew translation of the name Sandra
Sandra Gray, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker who received a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Connecticut and a Masters in Social Work from Springfield College. Sandra has worked in mental health and substance use for 17 years. Sandra has worked with children and families in both residential and outpatient settings, in residential hospitals with teens and adults, and in prison systems. She has extensive experience working with victims of trauma, individuals with substance use disorders, mental health diagnosis’ and individuals who are also dual diagnosed.
Sandra believes that healing is a timeless journey that begins with a person taking their first step. Her focus is in mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and dialectical behavior therapy. Sandra is dedicated to helping support and promote one’s personal growth in terms that are both suitable and encouraging for the individual. In her free time, Sandra likes to engage in mindfulness activities that help promote an emotional, mental and physical balance, which includes taking nature walks inside of Elizabeth Park, and going to the gym.
