When someone decides to seek help for their mental health, they are choosing courage over comfort. At Hopewell Health Solutions in Glastonbury, Connecticut, we honor that courage by offering an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that is truly different, one that meets each person where they are, helps them build meaningful skills, and supports their healing through compassion, connection, and evidence-based care.
Our IOPs are not one-size-fits-all. They are designed to treat the whole person, mind, body, and spirit, while respecting each individual’s pace of healing. Whether it is a teenager learning to regulate emotions for the first time, or an adult rebuilding their life after trauma, our programs provide the structure and support needed for lasting change.
At Hopewell, treatment is deeply individualized. Every client receives a tailored care plan developed by a multidisciplinary team that may include therapists, prescribers, and clinical staff. We take time to understand not just the symptoms but the story, the experiences, stressors, and strengths that shape who each person is.
Our clinicians are trained in modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care. These approaches are woven into every session, helping clients build practical skills to manage distress, regulate emotions, and improve relationships both inside and outside of therapy.
Hopewell’s IOP is more than a program; it is a community. Group therapy sessions provide a safe and supportive space for clients to share experiences, receive validation, and learn from one another. Over time, participants begin to see that they are not alone in their struggles, and that connection itself can be profoundly healing.
We emphasize the power of belonging and trust. Clients often say that Hopewell feels different because they are not treated like a diagnosis, but like a person who matters.
Our Intensive Outpatient Programs are designed to fit into real life, not replace it. Clients attend several hours of treatment per week while maintaining their daily routines at home, work, or school. This balance allows them to immediately apply the skills they learn in therapy to their everyday lives, reinforcing growth, resilience, and confidence.
For those transitioning from higher levels of care, IOP serves as an essential bridge back to stability. For others, it is a supportive alternative to inpatient treatment, offering intensive support without full hospitalization.
We currently offer several specialized programs to meet the unique needs of our community.
Our Teen and Tween IOPs are designed for adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, and social pressures. These programs integrate DBT skills training, family support, and emotional regulation in a developmentally appropriate way.
Our Women’s Trauma IOP provides a safe and empowering space for women to process trauma, rebuild self-trust, and connect with others who understand their journey.
Our Adult Mental Health IOP is a co-ed program that supports adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including co-occurring substance use disorders. This track focuses on skill development, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and rebuilding confidence in recovery.
Each track combines evidence-based treatment, creative expression, mindfulness, and psychoeducation to promote healing and long-term wellness.
What makes Hopewell’s IOP special is not only our curriculum, but our people. Every clinician, prescriber, and support staff member approaches care with empathy, authenticity, and respect. Our team believes that healing happens through relationships — the therapeutic relationship, the peer connection, and the relationship a person begins to rebuild with themselves.
Healing is not linear, and at Hopewell Health Solutions, we make space for that truth. Our mission is to help each person strengthen their sense of identity, build resilience, and rediscover hope.
If you or someone you love is struggling with mental health challenges, you do not have to do it alone. The right support can make all the difference.
