Amanda is a Licensed Master Social Worker with an extensive background working with mood disorders, eating disorders, substance use, trauma, and complex co-occurring disorders. Amanda has worked with kids, teens, and adults throughout her career. Amanda is a compassionate, respectful and genuine individual who will foster a safe and encouraging environment.
She holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Communications from Central Connecticut State University and her Masters degree in Social Work from Sacred Heart University.
Amanda utilizes a client-centered approach, meeting clients where they are and tailoring treatment to their individual needs while honoring their unique experiences, strengths and therapeutic goals. Drawing from evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care, Amanda helps clients explore the root causes of their challenges while building practical tools for resilience and emotional well-being. Amanda’s work often integrates techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI) and strengths-based approaches to foster lasting change and empowerment.
Outside of her clinical work, Amanda enjoys spending time with family, friends and her dogs.
