Anna in three words:
Energetic, Creative, Compassionate
“Therapy is not about becoming someone new, but rather understanding, accepting, and growing into who you’ve always been.” - aspects of Carl Rogers theory
Anna believes that trust in a therapeutic setting is something that is built over time. She studied criminal justice and sociology and earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Eastern Connecticut State University. Her experience is rooted in working with local and state police, connecting adults and older adults in crisis to appropriate clinical care. Anna also has experience working with adolescents, focusing on improving social and emotional well-being as well as children aged 3-5. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to navigate crisis intervention, women’s specific concerns, trauma, and eating disorders. Her experiences in the field have prepared Anna to support the challenges of individuals across all stages of life.
Anna is known for creating a space where individuals feel heard without judgment, respected, and safe, giving them the ability to share about the hard or messy parts of life. Her therapeutic approach is both collaborative and integrative, allowing individuals to work collaboratively with her to explore challenges, identify patterns, and develop healthy coping strategies. She strives to make the therapeutic environment a place where individuals can be their most authentic selves and grow to be the best version of who they are.
