Molly Finnegan, LMSW, is a Licensed Masters Social Worker in the state of Connecticut. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Eastern Connecticut State University. Molly then continued her education at Quinnipiac University where she earned her Masters of Social Work. Molly emphasizes the importance of client-centered therapy and tailoring interventions and treatment to the specific needs of the individual.
Molly has experience working with children, teens and adults both individually and within groups. She is especially passionate about supporting teens and adults in building healthy coping strategies to manage difficult emotions and negative thoughts. Molly’s goal is to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can grow, heal, and feel empowered in their mental health journey.
Her therapeutic approach utilizes evidence-based interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and mindfulness practices to help clients make meaningful and long lasting changes in their lives.
In her free time, Molly enjoys spending time with her loved ones, being by the water, and thrifting!
