Viviana believes that therapy is an exploration, not a “fix”. She earned her Bachelors degree in Secondary Health Education from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Cambridge College in Massachusetts. Her experience spans from working in various non-profit organizations and school systems where she has gained extensive experience working with both adults and children, helping them navigate through crisis, substance use, women’s specific concerns, complex co-occurring disorders, and family dynamics utilizing a trauma-focused approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Viviana believes that the most profound work happens when you feel truly seen and supported. Her approach is centered on the belief that she is there to walk beside you, keeping you at the heart of your own roadmap. The therapeutic process she builds with individuals is an honest and structured one. She will move at your pace, navigating the twists and turns of your journey until the path forward feels clear.
When not in the office, Viviana is likely embracing her nerdy side or out exploring. She loves discovering new restaurants and parks across the state but is just as happy staying in to hang out with her family and pets. Additionally, as a firm believer in the power of rest, she can often be found perfecting the art of a good nap.
