Welcome to the

Women's Trauma Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Hopewell Health Solutions

Our Women's Trauma IOP, held Monday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, is designed to support women in balancing life’s responsibilities with their healing journey. This program represents a significant step in self-care—an opportunity to invest time in your well-being while managing daily commitments. Over the course of this 8-week program, which is extendable based on personal needs and progress, you will be part of a supportive community that focuses on recovery from trauma. Covered by most major insurance plans, except Husky, our IOP is a proactive approach to prevent the need for hospitalization or a higher level of care by mediating symptoms effectively.
What is Trauma?
Trauma can occur from a single event, or it can be a series of events or circumstances that an individual perceives as emotionally or physically harmful or life-threatening, with lasting negative effects on the individual's functioning and physical, social, emotional, or spiritual well-being. Trauma is highly personal, as different people will react to similar events in vastly different ways. That means that something one person finds traumatic may not be traumatic to someone else.

Symptoms of Trauma to Look For

The impact of trauma can be profound and long-lasting, affecting every area of life. Symptoms can vary widely from person to person but commonly include:

● Physical Symptoms: Fatigue, edginess, and problems with sleep and concentration.
● Emotional and Psychological Symptoms: Anxiety, numbness, depression, feelings of helplessness, persistent fear, or intense, unpredictable emotions.
● Behavioral Changes: Avoidance of certain places or people, social withdrawal, or engaging in self-destructive behaviors.
● Cognitive Impairments: Difficulty remembering the traumatic event, problems with concentration, and decision-making difficulties.
● Relational Impact: Issues in personal relationships, feeling disconnected from others, or difficulty trusting others.

Understanding these symptoms is the first step in recognizing the need for help. The Women's Trauma IOP at Hopewell Health Solutions provides a supportive environment where you can address these symptoms with the help of skilled therapists and a supportive community.

We also focus on step-down care, ensuring that you have the necessary support as you transition from our IOP to less intensive therapy options.

The Value of Community in Healing

Joining our Women’s Trauma IOP means becoming part of a community where every member is both supported and supportive. In this environment, you gain the collective strength of other women who understand the challenges of trauma, guided by therapists who foster a space of mutual respect and encouragement. This community aspect is crucial, as it enhances the healing process through shared experiences and the reassurance that you are not alone on this journey.

The Right Level of Care

Our IOP serves as an essential level of care for those who need more support than weekly therapy can provide, yet do not require hospitalization. It is designed to effectively manage symptoms and address trauma in a structured yet flexible environment, making significant strides in recovery and personal growth possible.

Committing to Self-Care

Participating in our IOP is a profound act of self-care. For many women, the commitment to take this time for themselves can be a transformative experience. It’s an opportunity to prioritize your health and well-being in a world where women often find themselves prioritizing the care of others above themselves. At Hopewell Health Solutions, we honor and support your decision to focus on your healing, providing a pathway to a stronger, more empowered you.
