Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Ana Arroyo, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with Hopewell Health Solutions, located in Glastonbury and West Hartford, CT.
Ana obtained her bachelor's degree in nursing from Notre Dame of Dadiangas University in the Philippines and her master's degree in nursing at Walden University. Ana has 20+ years of experience caring for patients in behavioral health, substance abuse rehabilitation, and medical-surgical settings.
Ana's therapeutic approach is very holistic and comprehensive. She assesses her clients' health — physically, psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually. This thorough approach is based on the understanding that when one area is off balance for a client, it will affect other aspects as well. She enjoys working with clients in helping them to find that balance — which can include lifestyle changes, therapeutic strategies, therapy and medications. Ana talks with her patients through difficult and complicated medical decisions, such as making psychiatric medication adjustments.
The goal of Ana's practice is to provide compassionate, respectful, and evidence-based mental health care to individuals across the lifespan. She has experience in psychiatric evaluation, medication management, treatment planning, and patient education, and she is passionate about building trusting relationships that make patients feel heard, safe, and supported. As an advocate for mental health reform and expanding access to high-quality behavioral health care, she is dedicated to reducing stigmas surrounding mental health.
Ana is bilingual, fluent in both English and Tagalog. In her spare time, Ana enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and husband. Cooking, baking, and traveling are some of her favorite activities.
