A highly treatable condition
Alcohol dependence, also known as alcohol use disorder (AUD), is a chronic medical condition that affects how the brain regulates impulse control, reward pathways, and stress responses. Over time, alcohol use can become compulsive or difficult to control, even when it causes harm to health, relationships, or daily functioning.
AUD can range from mild to severe and may include physical dependence, withdrawal symptoms, cravings, and increased tolerance. The condition is highly treatable with the right blend of medical, psychological, and behavioral support — and our board-certified specialists offer personalized care to help you regain control and rebuild stability.
