Eunice Rivera Miranda, PhD

Dr. Eunice Rivera Miranda is a bilingual and bicultural clinical psychologist dedicated to delivering culturally responsive mental health care. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ponce Health Sciences University, completed her postdoctoral residency at the Community Health Center, Inc., and a Certificate in Primary Care Behavioral Health from the University of Massachusetts.

Dr. Rivera Miranda began her clinical work in New York City, providing family therapy to youth involved in the justice system. This experience, along with training in the Ackerman Institute for the Family, solidified her commitment to supporting underserved communities.

Dr. Rivera Miranda has held leadership roles in the field of psychology. She served as Treasurer for the Puerto Rico Couples and Family Therapy Association and as a member of the Public Policy Committee in the Puerto Rico Psychological Association. Dr. Rivera Miranda also served as the Behavioral Health Director for Community Health Center Bristol and Waterbury sites from 2019-2023.

During her time in CHC, Dr. Rivera Miranda served as Co-Chair of the Multicultural Committee for the Community Health Center's postdoctoral residency program, leading training sessions on multicultural competence, and the impact and systemic factors on clinical care for supervisors and trainees. She also supervised postdoctoral fellows, integrating evidence-based practice with culturally and trauma informed perspectives.

Her professional interests include bilingualism in therapy, culturally responsive training, and the experiences of bicultural clinicians, clinical supervision and mentorship, and trauma.
