Jeff Rapp, LMSW

Jeff is a Licensed Master Social Worker with extensive experience supporting individuals with substance use and mental health challenges. He earned master’s degrees in Social Work and Experimental Psychology from Cleveland State University and began practicing as a licensed professional in 2008.

Over the years, Jeff has worked as a counselor in outpatient, intensive outpatient, and inpatient settings, supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups. He often worked with clients experiencing co-occurring disorders, facing severe addiction alongside trauma and other psychological challenges. His academic work explored the connections between trauma, substance use, and emotional regulation, and these themes have remained central to his clinical work.

In his counseling practice, Jeff employs a cognitive approach, focusing on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors as a pathway toward sustained recovery. He also brings firsthand experience living with neurodivergence to his work, allowing his personal experiences and growth to inform and enrich his clinical perspective.
